Joining 100 crore club is the latest fashion in movie industry. With S S Rajamouli’s Bahubali starting a 1000 crore club, 100 crore seems to be the easy definition of success. While Bollywood movies reach this target quite easily with their huge market, sandalwood seems to be working extra hard to go there. Following the footsteps of The Villain and KGF, upcoming movie I Love U is eyeing on the big club.
Uppi’s I Love U all set to join 100 Cr Club
Starring real star Upendra and Rachita Ram, ILU is the most expected movie of uppi off late. This film is said to have typical taste of Uppi that fans love. The movie is a bilingual made in Kannada and Telugu simultaneously. Since Upendra has a considerable amount of Telugu fans, this is calculated to help in adding revenue.
Sonu Gowda is also playing a pivotal role in the movie. Producer and director of this movie, R Chandru is leaving no stone unturned to make this movie a mega milestone in Kannada movie business. Kiram Thotambyle has scored music for the movie while Naveen Kumar has handled camera.
According to sources, people will have to shell Rs 100 more to watch the movie I Love U. The film is all set to release on 14 June 2019. But the online booking of the tickets will be open from June 8th. People who would go for pre booking tickets will be paying the regular price. But those who would buy tickets in counter on the first week of release of the movie will have to spend a little extra. Previously, mega movies like The Villain and KGF had also increased their ticket prices on initial weeks.
Well, this seems like a good marketing strategy from the producer’s point as more people would want to watch the movie in early weeks. Dil Raju, who will be distributing I love U in Andhra Pradesh is very confident of this movie reaching the 100 crore club. But the fans are to bear the brunt of shelling out extra bucks to watch their favorite stars in on the big screen.
