The local fruit picking business, labor problems, financial crisis, husband with infidelity, childlessness everything is brought forth beautifully by Tehrani.
Tough lady, Aban
Aban never smiles as well. But she is hell bent on getting her job done. The natural lighting plays a prominent role throughout the movie. Screenplay is very well polished. This story is definitely not a sorry saga of a helpless woman. But of the determination of a lady who succeeds all obstacles and manages to bring everything in line just by her deeds. She fights across and thinks ahead. She learns from her problems and works harder than any of her laborers.
`Orange Days’ is definitely a must watch Irani movie of this season. Toronto International Film Festival to the very recent Bengaluru International Film Festival, the movie is leaving a mark behind. All accolades to the director Arash Lahooti, whose first narrative turned out to be greatly appreciated. After watching the movie, one seems to have a lighter heart than expected. Through all her struggles Aban convinces the victory to be on her side and drives home with success. And still, she never sheds a tear.
