Boon or Bane?
Hand sanitizer which has become like gold with respect to availability and prices, is not much necessary say experts. Rather washing your hands with mild soap and water is a better alternative. Having said that, people are washing their hands several times a day. This has even caused obsessive compulsive disorder in many. Washing your hands in alcohol based chemical always isn’t necessary. Basic soap will do the job equally efficient.
What to do?
With maids not available during lock down, people are forced to do their household chores by themselves. This means hands are more in soap and water. People calling dermatologists for skin peels, allergies and itchiness is quite common these days. In an attempt to get rid of one problem people are kind of jumping into another.

Control yourself and take care !
It definitely is necessary to keep your hands clean. But also, make sure not to over do. You need wash your hand every time you spot soap or water.
Make sure to use good moisturizers. Whenever you wash your hands, apply moisturizer. This will help in retaining moisture on the surface of the skin. Also, if you have any rashes, itchiness or discoloration of skin, do see a dermatologist asap. Avoid sanitizers whenever possible. Let them stay in your handbag for emergency.
Also avoid removing cuticles. The empty space may just pave way for infections to enter your body. So pedicures and manicures can definitely wait till the Covid has slowed down.
