Fish fry is something people always crave for. Especially, the ones from coastal regions love to have fish anytime of the day. Fish fry serves as a side dish to some and a beautiful completion of meal to many. The open ended option to eat any variety of fish is a big takeaway from this recipe. If you have fish at home, this fry will be done in literally 10 to 15 mins. Also, this is a Kolkatta style fry which is favorite street snack as well.

Ingredients:

Fish sliced – 8 nos
Salt – to taste
Kasundhi (mustard paste) – 5 tbl spn
Eggs – 2
Oil – for frying
Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
Green chilly (chopped) – 2 tsp
Flour – for dipping
Bread crumbs – 2 cups

Method

Apply salt and lemon juice to the fish. Keep aside for 2 to 3 mins. Now add green chillies to kasundhi and dip the fish slices in it.

Immediately roll the fish in flour. Pat it well so that flour coats the fish evenly. Now break eggs in a bowl and lightly whisk them.
Dip the fish in the egg mixture and roll in bread crumbs. Heat oil and deep fry the fish. Serve hot with kasundhi.
