Their idly is soft and fluffy, vada is crisp. We would not say very crisp, but it is the right amount of crisp. And the best part is that there will be no oil dripping out of it. The highlight of it all is the chutney. The green chutney that is served with idly and vada is a big hit. People take multiple servings of this chutney for 2 idlys and 1 vada. It’s like you are having chutney with idly as a side dish. There is no sambar here and you won’t even notice it.
Bengaluru Café also serves Plain dosa, Kharabhath, Benne Masala Dosa, Plain dosa and other basic breakfast dishes. They don’t serve lunch. So if you are planning to visit them you should either go in the mornings or evenings. With an open view towards a lush green park, the ambience is just right here. Their coffee is the best according to caffeine addicts.
The menu is very pocket friendly. Hence don’t be surprised if you find people filling in large boxes with idli, vada or pongal as a takeaway. An idly costs just Rs 10 and a vada is for Rs 20. Easy on wallet, lip smacking taste, healthy simple food… man.. we should actually hijack their chef ! Don’t dare to miss this place on your next breakfast hunt, folks.
