Easter is probably needed now more than ever. With corona virus not slowing down in countries like United States, Spain and others, this festival is much awaited. Easter signifies the celebration of resurrection of Jesus Christ. But this year, the celebration turned out to be all the more different.

People couldn’t attend Easter masses and distribute colorful Easter eggs. But everyone understood the necessity of staying indoors. Hence without much fuss, Easter happened with all its glory indoors.

Across the globe, churches facilitated online masses. Pope Francis addressed disciples across the globe online. He addressed world’s 1.3 billion Catholics from an empty St Paul’s Cathedral with very few priests present.

Pope calls for solidarity in his Easter message in times of lock down. The Vatican City turned empty on an Easter Sunday for the first time in ages.

“Though Covid 19 has instilled fear in people all around, we need Easter as much as ever”, said Queen Elizabeth II. The Buckingham Palace celebrated Easter very privately.

Easter definitely filled hope in people in times of distress. The festival though celebrated quietly, turned a page of strength in folks all over.
