Of all the varieties of food available on this planet, Muslims choose humble dates to break their fast. The primary reason for this ritual is the age old practice. It is believed that initially, Prophet Mohammad had broken his fast by having 3 dates and a glass of water. Hence everyone who observes fasting or Roza does the same.
Dates are rich in fiber, sugar, magnesium, potassium and carbohydrates. This in turn will be digested slowly inside the body helping to stay for a longer time without hunger.
