Mango is not a fruit, it is an emotion to many. Now that the Mango season is almost over, let’s save some last bit of it. What better way than the jam to go with everything? This homemade mango jam recipe is tried and tested. And it is super easy to make as well.
Raw mango (chopped ) – 1 cup
Ripe mango (chopped) – 3cups
Sugar – ¾ cup
Add raw & ripe mango in a mixer grinder. Grind it into puree without adding water. Keep stirring occasionally. If you want the jam to be a bit chunky then leave some pieces of mango in there. Shift the puree to a pan and add sugar.
Turn on the heat and cook on high flame and bring it to a boil. Now, lower the heat and cook till the puree reduces to ⅓rd or is thick to not leave the spoon. You will also notice the bright yellow color changing to very dark shade by now. It takes approximately 20 mins to get this.
Remove the mixture from flame and cool completely. Then fill it up a clean jar. Refrigerate and use within a month.
