You surely would not want to walk out of your home like a couch potato, isn’t it? Well, it doesn’t mean hitting off to gym in times like these. Your regular gym has locked itself long back.

What can be done?

There are plenty of exercises that can be easily followed while staying at home. All you need is perseverance. When you have plenty of time, why not make good use of it for yourself? Firstly, choose different varieties of exercises. Let your routine be cocktail of all exercises. Cardio, Body weight exercises, core strengthening, high intensity… choose anything and everything.

Plan wisely

Alternate high intensity exercises like jumping, burpees with strength training ones. Squats, Lunges, Pushups, pulls, marching in place are a few that don’t need any equipment. Put on some good music and start with warm up.

If you are a yoga person, this is your time. With silence everywhere, you can master your asanas easily. Beginners should start with 10 to 30 seconds for each asana and increase gradually to 60-90 secs day by day. Start with 8 to 16 reps and increase to 20 in due course.
Set up a stopwatch to give some time check and motivate yourself. Here is a list of simple exercises that need no equipments and help you stay fit at the luxury of your home.

· 1 min: March in place — Lift the knees high and swing the arms
· 1 min: Jog in place, pushing the arms overhead
· 1 min: High knees
· 1 min: Slow, controlled Plyo-jacks
· 1 min: Regular jumping jacks
· 1 min: March in place
· 1 min: Skaters
· 1 min: Mountain climbers
· 1 min: High knees
· 1 min: March in place
